Foto KTP diminta di mana-mana: pendaftaran akun, penyewaan kendaraan, kos-kosan, hingga transaksi jual beli. Sekali terkirim, Anda tidak lagi mengendalikan ke mana foto itu pergi. Data seperti NIK, tanggal lahir, alamat, dan tanda tangan bisa disalahgunakan untuk mendaftarkan akun atau pinjaman atas nama Anda.
Cara paling sederhana untuk mengurangi risikonya: tutup data yang tidak diperlukan penerima sebelum foto dikirim.
Tentukan dulu apa yang perlu disensor
Tidak semua data harus selalu ditutup. Bila penerima memang memerlukan NIK untuk verifikasi resmi, misalnya lembaga keuangan, menutupnya akan membuat dokumen ditolak. Pertimbangkan sesuai keperluan:

Prinsip yang sama berlaku untuk foto lain: bukti transfer (nomor rekening), kartu keluarga, kartu kredit, tiket dengan kode QR, atau tangkapan layar berisi nomor HP.
Langkah menyensor foto
- Buka Sensor Gambar di KASKOW.
- Klik Pilih file, seret dan lepas foto KTP, atau tempel dengan Ctrl+V. Di HP, Anda bisa memotret langsung dengan Ambil foto.
- Seret kotak di atas bagian yang ingin ditutup, misalnya deretan NIK. Ulangi untuk area lain. Setiap kotak bisa dipindah, diubah ukurannya, atau dihapus.
- Pada Efek, pilih Kotak hitam.
- Klik Simpan gambar, perbesar pratinjau, dan pastikan tidak ada angka atau huruf yang masih terlihat di tepi kotak.
- Klik Unduh, lalu kirim file hasil unduhan, bukan foto aslinya.
Foto diproses sepenuhnya di browser. Foto KTP Anda tidak dikirim ke server KASKOW.
Kenapa kotak hitam, bukan buram?

Untuk NIK, nomor rekening, alamat, dan kata sandi, selalu gunakan Kotak hitam. Buram dan piksel lebih cocok untuk menyamarkan wajah orang di latar belakang atau pelat nomor pada foto iklan, dan sebaiknya dengan Kekuatan tinggi.
Tambahkan tanda air sebagai pengaman
Selain menyensor, beri keterangan tujuan pada foto KTP, misalnya "Hanya untuk verifikasi sewa kamar, Oktober 2026". Foto yang diberi keterangan seperti ini lebih sulit dipakai ulang untuk keperluan lain.
Setelah menyimpan hasil sensor, klik Lanjutkan dengan file ini lalu pilih Tanda Air Gambar. Ketik keterangannya, atur Transparansi secukupnya agar data penting tetap terbaca, dan pilih posisi Ubin berulang agar sulit dipotong.
Jangan lupa data tersembunyi di file
Foto dari HP bisa menyimpan informasi yang tidak terlihat, termasuk lokasi GPS tempat foto diambil. Bila Anda memotret KTP di rumah, lokasi itu bisa menunjukkan alamat Anda. Periksa dan hapus dengan Metadata & Warna Gambar. Panduannya ada di cara menghapus lokasi GPS dari foto.
Daftar periksa sebelum mengirim
- Data yang tidak diperlukan sudah tertutup kotak hitam.
- Tidak ada bagian data yang terlihat di tepi kotak.
- Foto sudah diberi keterangan tujuan bila perlu.
- Yang dikirim adalah file hasil, bukan foto asli.
- Foto asli disimpan di tempat aman dan tidak dibagikan ulang.
Pertanyaan yang sering muncul
Bisakah menyensor banyak foto sekaligus? Alat ini bekerja pada satu gambar setiap kali, karena letak data yang perlu ditutup biasanya berbeda di setiap foto. Dalam satu gambar, Anda bisa menandai banyak area.
Apakah cukup dengan mencoret memakai aplikasi edit foto di HP? Coretan pena yang tipis atau semitransparan sering masih menyisakan bagian angka. Kotak hitam yang menutup penuh lebih dapat diandalkan.
Apakah sensor bisa dibuka kembali oleh penerima? Kotak hitam tidak bisa, karena piksel aslinya sudah ditimpa. Simpan foto asli Anda sendiri bila sewaktu-waktu memerlukan versi lengkapnya.
A photo of your ID card is requested everywhere: account sign-ups, vehicle rentals, room rentals, even buying and selling online. Once it's sent, you no longer control where it goes. Data such as your ID number, date of birth, address and signature can be misused to open accounts or loans in your name.
The simplest way to reduce the risk: cover the data the recipient doesn't need before sending the photo.
First decide what to redact
Not every piece of data always has to be covered. If the recipient genuinely needs your ID number for official verification, such as a financial institution, covering it will get the document rejected. Decide based on the purpose:

The same principle applies to other photos: transfer receipts (account numbers), family cards, credit cards, tickets with QR codes, or screenshots showing phone numbers.
Steps to redact a photo
- Open Blur & Redact Image on KASKOW.
- Click Choose files, drag and drop the ID card photo, or paste it with Ctrl+V. On a phone you can shoot directly with Take photo.
- Drag a box over the part you want to cover, for example the ID number. Repeat for other areas. Each box can be moved, resized or deleted.
- Under Effect, choose Black box.
- Click Save image, zoom into the preview, and make sure no digits or letters are still visible at the edges of the boxes.
- Click Download, then send the downloaded file, not the original photo.
The photo is processed entirely in your browser. Your ID card photo is not sent to the KASKOW server.
Why a black box, not blur?

For ID numbers, bank account numbers, addresses and passwords, always use Black box. Blur and pixelate are better for disguising faces of people in the background or licence plates in sales photos, ideally at a high Strength.
Add a watermark as a safeguard
Besides redacting, label the ID card photo with its purpose, for example "Only for room rental verification, October 2026". A photo labelled like this is harder to reuse for anything else.
After saving the redacted result, click Continue with this file and choose Watermark Image. Type the label, set the Opacity so important data stays readable, and choose the Tiled position so it's hard to crop out.
Don't forget hidden data in the file
Phone photos can store information you can't see, including the GPS location where the photo was taken. If you photographed your ID card at home, that location can reveal your address. Check and remove it with Image Metadata & Colors. The guide is in how to remove the GPS location from a photo.
Checklist before sending
- Data that isn't needed is covered with a black box.
- No part of the data shows at the edges of the boxes.
- The photo is labelled with its purpose if needed.
- You are sending the result file, not the original photo.
- The original photo is kept somewhere safe and not shared again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I redact many photos at once? The tool works on one image at a time, because the data to cover is usually in a different place in each photo. Within one image, you can mark as many areas as you need.
Is scribbling over it with a phone photo editing app enough? Thin or semi-transparent pen strokes often leave parts of the digits visible. A solid black box is more reliable.
Can the recipient undo the redaction? Not with a black box, because the original pixels have been overwritten. Keep your own original photo in case you ever need the full version.
