Langkah 3: ganti warna latar

Fitur ganti latar masih eksperimen.

Klik Buat pas foto, periksa hasilnya, lalu klik Unduh.

Cara mencetak agar ukurannya tepat

  • Gunting mengikuti garis potong.

Formulir online sering membatasi ukuran file, misalnya maksimal 200 KB.

Kenapa tepi rambut tampak kasar?

ID photos are often needed at short notice: a job application has to go out tomorrow, school registration closes this afternoon, or a form asks for a blue background when all your prints are red. There isn't always time to visit a photo studio.

With a phone and a few simple steps, you can make your own ID photo, complete with a print sheet holding many copies.

Step 1: take the photo properly

The final result depends heavily on the original photo.

  • Stand in front of a plain, light-coloured wall, such as white or light grey.
  • Use even light from the front, for example facing a window. Avoid shadows on your face and on the wall.
  • Hold the phone at eye level, with your face looking straight at the camera.
  • Leave space above your head and make sure your shoulders are visible.
  • Wear clothes in a colour different from the background you will use. A white shirt in front of a white wall makes the edges of your clothing hard to tell apart.

Step 2: crop to ID photo size

  1. Open Passport Photo Maker on KASKOW.
  2. Click Choose files, drag and drop the photo, or press Take photo on a phone.
  3. Choose a size: 2×3, 3×4, 4×6 or 3.5×4.5 (passport/visa).
  4. Move and resize the crop box so your face and shoulders are centred. The box ratio is locked to the chosen size, so the result won't look squashed.

Step 3: change the background colour

Under Background colour, choose Red, Blue, White, Other for a colour of your own, or Original if the background doesn't need changing.

Background replacement is still experimental. It works best on a plain background that contrasts with your hair and clothing. If some of the old background remains, raise the Tolerance slider. If parts of your hair or clothes change colour too, lower the tolerance. Check the hair edges by zooming into the preview.

Step 4: choose the output and download

Under Output, choose one of:

OptionContentsBest for
Single photoOne JPG file at ID photo sizeUploading to an online form
A4 print sheetMany copies with cut linesPrinting yourself at home or at the office
4R print sheet (10×15 cm)Several copies with cut linesPrinting at a photo print shop

Click Make photo, check the result, then click Download. Everything runs in your browser, so your face photo is not uploaded to a server.

How to print at the right size

ID photos are made at 300 DPI at their actual size. When printing:

  • Choose 100% scale or actual size. Don't choose "fit to page", because the photo size will change.
  • Use photo paper for livelier colours.
  • Cut along the cut lines.
  • Measure one photo with a ruler before printing many.

For prints at a photo shop, bring the 4R print sheet file and ask for it to be printed on 4R paper without enlarging or reducing.

If it has to be uploaded with a size limit

Online forms often limit the file size, for example to a maximum of 200 KB. After making a Single photo, click Continue with this file, choose Compress Image and use Target size mode. The full steps are in how to compress a photo to 200 KB.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use a red or a blue background? There is no rule that applies to everyone. The background colour is set by the school, university, company or institution asking for it, while passport and visa photos usually use white. Follow the instructions in the announcement or form.

Which sizes are commonly used? 3×4 cm is the most common for job applications and many forms. 2×3 and 4×6 cm are common for diplomas, report cards and registration files. 3.5×4.5 cm is typical for passports and visas. Requirements can differ, so always check them.

Can I use an old photo? Yes, as long as the face is clear and the resolution is high enough. A 3×4 cm ID photo at 300 DPI is about 354 × 472 pixels, so a phone camera photo is generally more than enough. A small crop from a group photo is usually not sharp enough.

Why do the hair edges look rough? A busy background, uneven lighting or hair that is close in colour to the background makes colour replacement harder. Try adjusting the tolerance, or retake the photo in front of a plain wall in brighter light.
