Musim pendaftaran selalu membawa masalah yang sama. Situs pendaftaran CPNS, sekolah, kampus, beasiswa, atau lamaran kerja meminta pas foto dan dokumen dengan batas ukuran tertentu, misalnya maksimal 200 KB atau di bawah 100 KB. Langkah mengompres ke ukuran tertentu
- Buka Kompres Gambar di KASKOW.
- Klik Pilih file, seret dan lepas foto ke halaman, atau tempel dengan Ctrl+V. Di HP, Anda bisa langsung memotret lewat Ambil foto.
- Pilih mode Target ukuran.
- Isi batas ukurannya dalam KB, atau klik pilihan cepat 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB, atau 1 MB. Sisakan sedikit ruang, misalnya isi 190 bila batasnya 200 KB.
- Pada Format hasil, pilih JPG bila formulir hanya menerima JPG.
- Klik Kompres gambar dan tunggu progres mencapai 100%.
- Periksa ukuran sebelum → sesudah yang tampil di setiap file, perbesar pratinjau untuk memastikan wajah dan tulisan masih jelas, lalu klik Unduh.
Pada mode ini, kualitas diturunkan otomatis sampai file berada di bawah target. Bila menurunkan kualitas saja belum cukup, resolusinya ikut diperkecil. Foto diproses di browser, jadi tidak diunggah ke server.
Mulailah selalu dari foto asli, bukan dari foto yang sudah pernah dikompres atau dikirim lewat aplikasi obrolan. Foto yang dikompres berulang kali cenderung tampak kotak-kotak.
Bila dimensinya juga ditentukan
Beberapa formulir meminta ukuran piksel atau rasio tertentu sekaligus batas KB. Urutan yang aman:
- Bentuk dulu fotonya. Untuk pas foto, gunakan Pembuat Pas Foto. Untuk dokumen, rapikan dengan Potong Gambar. Untuk ukuran piksel persis, gunakan Ubah Ukuran Gambar.
- Klik Lanjutkan dengan file ini dan pilih Kompres Gambar, sehingga hasilnya tidak perlu diunduh lalu dipilih lagi.
- Bila lebar dan tinggi tidak boleh berubah sama sekali, pakai mode Kualitas dan turunkan penggesernya perlahan sampai ukurannya pas.

Kompres Gambar menerima hingga 100 gambar dalam sekali proses, dengan target yang sama untuk semuanya. Hasilnya dikemas dalam satu file .zip. Cara ini praktis bila Anda harus menyiapkan pas foto, foto KTP, dan foto ijazah untuk satu pendaftaran.
Pertanyaan yang sering muncul
Kenapa ukuran hasil sama persis dengan aslinya? Foto itu kemungkinan sudah berada di bawah target. Alat ini tidak pernah memperbesar file, jadi foto yang sudah optimal disimpan apa adanya.

Hasilnya tampak buram. Target yang terlalu kecil untuk foto beresolusi tinggi memaksa resolusinya turun banyak. Potong bagian yang tidak perlu terlebih dahulu, lalu kompres lagi dari foto asli.

Check the official rules first
Size limits differ for each institution and can even change from year to year. Before compressing, read the official announcement or instructions and note three things:

Steps to compress to a specific size
- Open Compress Image on KASKOW.
- Click Choose files, drag and drop the photo onto the page, or paste it with Ctrl+V. On a phone you can shoot directly with Take photo.
- Choose the Target size mode.
- Enter the limit in KB, or click a quick option: 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB. Leave a little headroom, for example enter 190 if the limit is 200 KB.
- Under Output format, choose JPG if the form only accepts JPG.
- Click Compress images and wait for the progress to reach 100%.
- Check the before → after size shown for each file, zoom into the preview to make sure faces and text are still clear, then click Download.
In this mode, quality is lowered automatically until the file is below the target. If lowering quality alone isn't enough, the resolution is reduced as well. Photos are processed in your browser, so they are not uploaded to a server.
Always start from the original photo, not one that has already been compressed or sent through a chat app. Photos compressed again and again tend to look blocky.
When the dimensions are also specified
Some forms ask for specific pixel dimensions or a ratio as well as a KB limit. A safe order:
- Shape the photo first. For ID photos, use Passport Photo Maker. For documents, tidy them with Crop Image. For exact pixel sizes, use Resize Image.
- Click Continue with this file and choose Compress Image, so the result doesn't have to be downloaded and selected again.
- If the width and height must not change at all, use Quality mode and lower the slider gradually until the size fits.

Many photos at once
Compress Image accepts up to 100 images in one run, with the same target for all of them. The results are packed into a single .zip file. This is handy when you need to prepare an ID photo, an ID card photo and a diploma photo for one registration.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the result exactly the same size as the original? That photo was probably already below the target. The tool never makes a file bigger, so a photo that is already optimal is kept as it is.

The result looks blurry. A target that is very small for a high-resolution photo forces the resolution down a lot. Crop away the parts you don't need first, then compress again from the original.
